Welcome to Horizon Family Dentistry! We are a family dental practice located in Rolesville, North Carolina. Our team of skilled dentists and dental hygienists are committed to providing quality dental care for your whole family.

Learn Who We Are

  • Dr. Kenisha Grant-Hyman, DDS

    Dr. Kenisha Grant is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Norfolk State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Grant served the socioeconomically challenged community for three years before forming Horizon Family Dentistry in 2008.

  • Dr. Brandy Joyner, DDS

    Dr. Brandy Joyner was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC. She began practicing in 2005 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from North Carolina State University and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to forming Horizon Family Dentistry in 2008, Dr. Joyner also treated the underserved for three years.

  • Raquel Cosme
    Office Manager

    Raquel moved from New Jersey in 2008 and has been in the dental field for 12 years. She is most likely the first voice you will hear when you call the office. Raquel is fluent in Spanish. Raquel states, “I take great pleasure in developing long lasting relationships with all the patients of Horizon Family Dentistry. I really enjoy being a part of this wonderful team.”

  • Melissa Tapp Reece
    Patient Care Coordinator

    Melissa provides administrative support to Horizon Family Dentistry. She is a native of North Carolina and is also a United States Army Veteran. Melissa received a BBA with a specialization in management from Cameron University. She has a strong focus on assisting her local communities and developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector. 

  • Ikea Walton
    Dental Assistant II

    Ikea Walton is a native of Wake Forest, North Carolina. She attended Sunrise School of Dental Assisting. Ikea has been a dental assistant at Horizon Family Dentistry since September 2008. She enjoys working directly with patients and using her dental assisting skills. Ikea states, “I look forward in meeting each and every patient. I take great pleasure in helping our patients at Horizon Family Dentistry achieve their dream of having a gorgeous and healthy smile.”

  • Evan Bennett
    Dental Assistant II

    Evan is a DA II who joined our team in May 2017. Evan is from a small town in South Georgia call Valdosta. Evan has been in NC for thirteen years. After graduating High School, Evan joined the U.S. Airforce for several years. During his spare time he likes playing the bass guitar and going to the beach.
